I just placed an order, I've gotten where I expect the price to be higher when I buy from them, as stated earlier, they don't update their catalog, but tell me the price when I order, so no real surprises.
they can be a bit difficult, but many times have the parts that no one else has.

While I, like many here would gladly pay more for a quality or rare part, there is just no call to treat customers that way, I'll gladly take my business elsewhere.

I did find my part at Corvette steering column services in South Carolina, and had it overnighted..........hassle free

Yes, the guy seems to have good stuff, and may know what he's talking about, but he could do without the attitude. I get a kick out of his blabbing about how they do this, that and the other thing to keep prices down, but it appears that his prices are right up there with everybody elses. Does this company think that, after reading all the "rules", anyone would look forward to dealing with them? Don't they realize what a turn-off this is?

Ive got another one for ya! I may have said this before,but...Do Not Buy From VANACOR fiberglass!! I bought two hoods,one for me,& one for a freind.They supposedly had a money back guarantee.But when I got the hoods,& the body shop where I had them dropped off at said it would take 10+ hrs just to make them straight enough to start the fitting process,I called them & told them I wanted to send them back.After they went off on me about this & that,& that they would have to sell them to see if there were further complaints,or they would charge me a 15% restocking fee!I already had to pay return shipping.The shipping to me was quoted as $97,when I got delivery,the bill stated $115...when I sent it back the bill they sent the body shop,instead of me was $192.PLUS they went ahead & took the 15% out anyway,when I finally got a greatly diminished refund about 3 weeks later after all the deductions! |cussing|

I always go for good customer service over price!

It sounds like there are a bunch of people above saying bad things about Doc. And even those that have sucessfully ordered from him, seems to say they had to "play by the rules".... there should be no rules!! If he keeps mis-treating people, he'll eventually fold or improve his service.

In the meantime, I don't think I'll be buying from him.

On the bright side, I'll agree with the comments of Bair's Corvettes in PA. They offer FANTASTIC customer service! Also, they happen to be a sponsor of C3VR... and have been since almost day 1. If you call them and mention C3VR, you'll get a discount only offered to C3VR members. They are also a Corvette repair shop... so if you need help determining what part you need to fix a problem, they'll put you in touch with one of their techs to help you out!
