Has anyone installed an A/C Pulley Shield to prevent the compressor oils from seeping into the hood?  I finally found the one I purchased about 10 years ago (the shop gremlins finally got tired of hiding it) but the bracket only aligns to one bolt on the compressor.  the label states 1977-84 (although I would love to see it on an 83 :)
If you have one installed, would you post a pic?

I don't have one installed but looked at mine (82) and there are three bolts heads visible. I wonder if either spreading the cover out or bending it inward slightly would allow you to make a connection with two of them? It's a good looking cover for sure.

I thought of bending but don't see how I can get enough bend without breaking a weld on the shield or bending the shield "curve".  I may end up needing to make a horizontal bracket to go from the second bolt to the shield.

I need to get it on as I can see signs of the hood paint beginning to bulge from compressor oil soaking into the fiberglass.  I remember researching this was a common problem, but at that time I did not see any paint damage.

Just looking on Corvette Central's web site and they don't show your shield, just ones for the 63 thru 76 and they look nothing like yours. I then found it on the Corvettemods web site and it clearly says for years 77 thru 87. Let us know if you get it installed. I'd like to get one myself if you figure it out.
