I guess i will just confirm what everyone else said. And being a 50th anniversary owner i will say that it is a great car. I enjoy it quite a lot. However , if i couldn`t afford both, it would be the first to go. If you can buy a C5 enjoy and fix the `78 as you can. I will say it is not cheap to maintain the `03. there isn`t much you can do on the car yourself and it is full of electronics. Tux got the #`s pretty good, I could do alot to my `69 with an extra $7-8 hundred a month. if you like the oohs and ahhhs keep the `78. if your not into constant tinkering and repair and want piece of mind but the `03. However, make sure you purchase an extended warranty you Will use it. Add another 2K to the buying price.
I might be going to hell in a bucket, but at least I`m enjoying the ride!
