Would anyone know what the "first" month of production was for the 1978 year? My door post has "E23" on it's tag. Would this be Dec. or Jan. Thanks, chuckster

According to Appendix S (Body Build Date Codes) in the CORVETTE Restoration Guide 1968-1982 by Richard Prince the first build month for the '78 model year was September, 1977 (Code A). So the born date of your '78s body (E23) would translate to January 23rd, 1978.
