Lukester,
I would love that. Put the date out plenty early so I can schedule around that. Had a blast last year and felt bad about not making it this year.

Yes Paul get that date out there early.....I'm overdue!

Rod, thanks for the laugh and the scare! I know you have it down to the penny on investment. But did you add up the hours of labor?
No way you would go thru with a sale! No Way! Beside we all would slap the crap out of you if you did sell it! You have any idea how many hours we have into reading your post along the way??? Not to mention all the times we waited for you to reply on Chat when you fell asleep!!!
Before all the leaves are gone make sure you get that car in a field of leaves with fall colors behind it! That is our "Fall " calendar shot"

Ebo, I would go thru with the sale if he would have come up with the money. He came over Saturday during the show and wanted to know if I was going to sell it. I told him the show special expired Friday when I gave him the price but now since I have a real number the price had gone up. I dont think he liked that approach! He didnt stick around long after that. The funniest thing is when I checked his business card he is only about 15 miles from me. SO it looks like its staying with me a while. But just think if i did sell, I would get another one and that would mean many more posts as I go through all that fun again!

The weekend ended up being a great time. I had lots of attention Saturday at the show and met so many great people. We swapped so many stories about building this car and those building their cars. The show was filled with so many great looking cars. I keep thinking about what it would be like to have a newer one but the ride home with the top down put an end to that. It was truely my first ride for any distance with the top down and it was great. The weather was fantastic for the ride and the car performed terrific. And even better on the trip home I got 15.1 MPG which was an improvement from the trip down. The 4:11 gears made it fun to drive and the Overdrive trans made it cruise at a great RPM, 2400-2500 RPMs. We traveled right around 70 all the way home.

Now that this weekend is over my wife says there is a lot of work to be done around the house. Dang, sure wish that I could come up with another reason to put off them chores! Shes been so good about spending time on the car so I guess I need to put the car to the back burner for a while.

Oh. lastly the friend that I took along this weekend wants to buy the 74 from me. I think thats the one to go if he comes up with money. He has to sell his 67 camaro first but he want s to be a vette owner. (poor guy doesnt know what he would be getting into!) LOL

Hmmm about two weeks ago you told me "No more project cars" so does this mean if you sold the 72 you would not be looking for another project car? Confused

Wish I could have seen that guys face!

Hey Rod, I really like that color combo.  And with the Cragars...looks awesome.  Is that factory color paint?  I'll bet the pics don't do it justice.  Red convertibles seem to always get peoples attention.
I'm in the middle of redoing the suspension on my '72 coupe with new poly bushings, rear fiber spring & new frt. coils, new offset rear trailing arms, new sway bars frt. 'n rear, new ball joints, all new bearings...and so on.  I have 3:36 in the rear and was curious as to whether you may be interested in selling the 3:55s?
Good luck in your project and enjoy the ride.
