Good Morning. This is my first time posting (I'm a new member) so if I don't get it right, forgive me.
Can anyone tell me how many LT1 convertibles were produced in 1970?? I'm looking for an early C3 to purchase.

Vette(s): 1969 convertible L71 427/435 4-speed black interior
This is not exact by any means, just a supposition on my part. About 38% of '70 Corvettes were convertibles. Going by the assumption that a similar proportion of convertibles to coupes was constant regarding LT-1 cars, that would mean about 490 out of 1287 1970 LT-1 Corvettes would have been convertibles. How close that might be is certainly an unknown, but at least some kind of figure to go by until someone can come up with accurate documentation.

I had seen an article once and it stated that there were around 400 some made. I forget the exact number but it was in the low 400's.

You had a double post so I deleted the second one.
I wish it were still true today that coupes were more expensive than the Convertible!!

According to the NCRS info that I have there are no exact figures on the LT-1 coupe to conv. ratio, BUT, the 1970 production ratio was 62-38% coups to verts, take the 1,287 LT1's built times the 62-38 ratio to come up with a ballpark figure

Did the math this morning and I come up with 798 coupe's and 489 vert's, Gunslinger was pertty much on the #'s, NCRS did a survey of remaining LT-1's and came up with a # of 122 surprisingly for each model not including my coupe, how many are really left God only knows
