Problem is, there are so many other '81 cars out there that DON'T need a lot of work...it just doesn't make sense(to ME) to pay "book value" on a car that's obviously, from Louis' description, not in very good condition.
My '74 was in just aboot exactly the same condition when I bought it in '97. I paid $3000 for it, then promptly went about shelling out another $20,000 to get it to the point it's in today. Market value on it today is around $18,000-$20,000. I bought it because I can do all the work myself. If I would have had to pay someone else to do it.....yeeeesh...faggetaboutit...
