Vette(s): 1980 corvette
Hi everyone, I have two questions. What does everyone do to there corvettes before winter storage? What kind of tires would be best for 1980 Corvette?

Thanks Jeff

I clean mine, treat the gas, unhook the battery, put cover on it and put it in a car bag till spring.
Go on tirerack and put in your data, it will give you all the data you need to compare and choose a tire.
I run Firestone Indy 500 on my 1980, have ran it at Watkins Glen as was very pleased with them.

Thanks ebo. Was wondering what do you treat the fuel with? Watkins Glenn is about a hour in half from me. Maybe someday we could meet for lunch.

Sta Bil fuel treatment can find it anywhere even wal mart.

The North East crew gets together many times a year, keep an eye out for those events!

Would love to have you party with us.

Vette(s): 1972 LT-1 convertible with factory air. 2017 Black Rose Grand Sport M7 convertible.
For tires, your choices are BF Goodrich T/A's, Cooper Cobra GT's, or I think Mickey Thompson makes a 15" tire.

I went with the Coopers, 235/60 15.  You can go for the 255/60 15's.

Vette(s): 1973 coupe. LS4, M-21, DARK SADDLE LEATHER, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, A/C, AM/FM STEREO, YELLOW ( 952 ).
Firestone no longer makes a 15" Indy 500 or Firehawk. Goodyear no longer makes a 15" Eagle. My 73 came with Firestone tires. I still have the original spare. Hopefully I never have to use it. The 73's also came with Goodyear tires. (1973 was the first year with Radial tires) Hate to put another brand on it, but it's looking like BF Goodrich. There are some on this site that are liking the Cooper Cobra tires.

I picked up a set of Futura 255/60 15's for my 81.  I put a little over 5,000 miles on the car this summer and had 1 tire rebalanced.  Had a lot of thought and research put into which size and brand tire.  The only "problem" I had with the tires was driving over grooved pavement heading to and around Ebo's.  Turned out Sarge had the same grip with his tires, not sure what he runs.  All in all, very happy with the tires.  I won't be storing the car this winter as I plan on driving it on nice days and might even head to Mesa if I get a clear shot.

Thumbs Up  I use the T/A's on my cars. Work well and am contented with them.
