Vette(s): 1971 Convertible, black on black with white top.
454, Hurst 4-speed. No Power Brakes, Steering or Windows.
Would there be any other location to try and find the build sheet for my 71 Convertible.
I have looked on top of the fuel tank, under both carpets and pulled the passenger side dash (pocket part) and looked toward the dashboard on top of the tach and speedo. Would I have to pull the whole dash top off to see?
Thanks Ron

Over the years I have found them in many places in G.M. cars ,in the headliners, inside the bottom or backs of seats,in the spare tire area, under the dash, and under the carpet.the only place Iv'e found one so far on my 78 was on my gas tank, and I clumsilly reached up and tugged on it when I was working on the rear end last spring and half a dozen brittle pieces fell down in my face, the other half is still up there on top of the gas tank

He's right, the sheet,if it still exists, could be almost anywhere on the car. From what I've read each station on the assembly line had a build sheet for each "job". The tank is about the only consistent location. I've also heard of them being found behind the rear quarter trim panels.
