Dave what I did, was: to hand grind down a stainless steel ARP 12 point bolt. It has a small shoulder area..........but I reduced the size much more by using a bench belt sander. I cut the shoulder down to match the size of the Hooker area. The 12 point allows a narrow socket to tighten it up. I like it because it's stainless, going into stainless. It's also polished, and won't get rusty. The bolt is much nicer than the ones Hooker supply. I hope that this might help......good luck!corvette440hp 2008-03-25 06:57:40

Drove the Vette home yesterday, need to keep checking the garage to make sure it's really there!
I need to get it to the guy that rebuilt the trans. Seems like the TV cable needs some fine tuning and this guy is the best around. The only thing left is to get the AC done, but that is not important right now.
The side pipes sound sooooooooooo good. The engine sounds so strong!

Great, Dave. Just 20 days left and we can all see and hear your baby. So glad to hear everything is going fine.

Please keep us informed Dave. I'd love to hear about any improvements that can be fine tuned in. I've been paying attention to the 700r4 conversions and it seems there's always some tuning to do. I've got this project planned for the wifes car, so i'd better gather all the info I can. Thanks.

It came with stamped steel covers, which I still have, but I ordered the cast alum. (black) that you see on there now.
