[QUOTE=dwright]Geez, is this a belated birthday present?
Are you trashing the puter?
Gonna keep the motor for the next owner?
What kind of a carb will it have?
Do you have to take the Crossfire Injection signs off the sides?

Congrats on the purchase and good luck with the new power.Thumbs%20Up

Not sure what to do with the engine, might sell or part out.
There won't be a next owner!
It has a Holly 750 on it.
I will leave the signs on the sides, if I take them off I will most likely have to paint the fenders, don't want to do that.

Way to go Dave, I wish I would have done that instead of all the work, (and $$) I did rebuilding my old L48 motor.

Hope you like it as much as I like mine. It is a great engine. Had mine for 3 years now and would do the same thing over again. I have had 0 problems with the motor. The rest of the car is another story

Vette(s): 1980 L82 Dark Metallic Green Coupe, Gymkhana Suspension, AM/FM/CB, GM ZZ383....nice....
Crates are good choices, solid, dependable HP, less choices for you to make in matching components. Consider the ZZ383 it is a nice ride, power with good street maners.

Good luck with your choice and instal. It is also a good time for cleaning up the engine bay and consider trany freshining or change out.

Dave
I, and I'm sure some other crossfire owners, would love to see some pics of what it takes to complete the conversion and what alterations you have to do to the crossfire hood to get that monster in your vette.
