Anyway, the rear calipers look like there is a very small bit of leakage so we'll start there. I ordered calipers with the o ring seals, pads & SS lines. Sounds like a good start? The master looks good and fluid is right up there. Want to get the rotors off for turning so all is right when new calipers go on.
Here's the big problem. How deep into it do I need to go to get the rotors off? Looks like I need to basically disassemble the whole back end or am I missing something?

YOU CAN REMOVE THE REAR ROTORS BY DRILLING OUT THE RIVITS THAT HOLD THEM TO THE SPINDLES AND THEN THEY CAN BE REMOVED FOR TURNING. BE SURE TO MARK THERE LOCATION ON EACH SPINDLE FIRST BEFORE YOU REMOVE THEM SO YOU CAN PUT THEM BACK IN THERE ORIGINAL POSITION. YOU DONT HAVE TO REPLACE THE RIVITS AS THE RIM AND LUG NUTS WILL HOLD THEM IN PLACE.....

After I posted this we got out the old dusty assembly manual put our heads together and figured that out. Doh!
Corvettes aren't easy are they. Up til now we've only worked on big Chevys. I have a 62 Impala ragtop & husband Dave has a 61 Belair 409. Big change for us to own a Corvette but we're loving her in spite of knowing absolutely nothing about them. It's an adventure and I finally see why vette owners are so fanatic. That little car is a blast to drive!
We'll be using the forums alot I think. Great info here and lots of very helpful people. We have lots of other minor issues with the car but brakes are the #1 right now. Thanks for your reply!
