Vette(s): 1970 454 4 speed A/C power everything else
I just bought a 70 Big block coupe with A/C 4 speed and power everything else. I dont have the car in front of me so I can t look at the build sheet.
The transmission is missing and I'm trying to figure out if it was a M20 or M21, 10 or 26 spline on the input shaft etc
I also dont know the rear end gear.
As far as I can tell there aren't any special performance packages on this car.
Thanks!

Probably a M21 close ratio - 4383 units were sold in 1970 - only 25 - M22 (heavy duty close ratios) were sold - but hey -you never know -

Look in tools tab above - then vette statistics - this may help some
Standard rear axle ratio | 3.36:1 | |
Optional rear axle ratio | 2.73:1, 3.08:1, 3.36:1, 3.55:1, 4.11:1, 4.56:1 |

Look under the rear in end and get the numbers to see what it was. My 70 is a 3.08

The M22 "Rock Crusher" was only available with the LT1 w/ZR1 package...
Depending on if it has A/C or not, the rear ratios would be:
M20(wide ratio) w/out A/C could have had 3.36(std) 3.08(opt) 3.55, or 3.70
M21(close ratio) w/out A/C could have 3.08, or 3.36
M20(wide ratio) was not available with A/C so...
M21 w/A/C could have only the 3.08
Now ya know!
