weird manny tranny fluid leak

Vette(s): 1971 small block steel cities gray roadster with optional hardtop
1971 small block, 4 speed manual transmission.
I have drops of transmission fluid on the underside of the hood, passenger side, mid compartment.  Can't figure out where it could be coming from.
Anyone ever seen this, know how tranny fluid could get up there?
I did think the stick was feeling a little warm last time I was out, so now I'm worried.

If it is tranny fluid red in color, it would most likely be coming from the power steering pump. thrown their by the fan.

should it not be  a gear oil,not trans fluid??
