I finally bought the Edelbrock valve covers and install them. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?fg=00000 0&bg=FFFFFF&migration=1&image=http://memimage.ca rdomain.net/member_images/1/web/565000-565999/565523_77_full .jpg

No more scratched up chrome ones. I didn't like them the day after I put them on 10 years ago.

those are nice! Are the tops removable? It would be nice for valve adjustments.

No just made to look like it. The screws are just plastic press fit into holes.

Nice!!
I also had it with the chrome ones. Too hard to clean, and they scratch too easily. I just put the plain ol' fact. ones back on.

I have those valve covers on my Vette. I really like the looks. I also bought the matching air cleaner. I had a problem with blowing the gaskets ( rubber reusable ones ) but I now am using the thin cork gaskets which seem to be holding. Seems like the Edelbrock heads and Valve Covers don't line up perfectly. I think that is what caused the cuts and then finally totally blew the gasket.
