Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
A friend of mine used JBWeld and it worked for him.  He said getting a clean buffed surface was the ticket.

Thanks for all the replies!  I did take the tank down to bare metal in a blasting cabinet before trying the JB Weld so not sure why it didnt hold for me (Dean couldnt see your picture don't know if it was the post or me!)  I am going to go to my local radiator repair guy to see if he can solder it, other than that I guess I'll go to the Campbell Soup can (or is it Progresso?)

Mario
