Sitting on top of my factory thermostat housing is a fitting with 2 small "pipes coming off of it. When searching through the AIM, they appear to have gone to some heat riser/ emmisions devices( I think) which are no longer on this new motor.Do I simply change out the housing because I haven't any need for this device? I din't see many of these being used on our Corvettes, with the exception of NCRS types.

You can replace the housing, or simply remove the thermal/vacuum device, and plug the hole with a pipe plug. Your choice.
