I've done a few searches, didn't see  the answers to my questions, so here goes.

Looks like I need a new upper control arm shaft, as one end of one of them has been chewed up by the inner sleeve of the stock rubber bushing.

So far, all I've found are control arm shaft kits, with HW I don't need.  Any one know of a source of just the shafts, besides GM?

2nd question is for those that have installed poly bushings, as I plan to do.  Once installed, exactly what part rotates, and stays put?  Is the "joint" between the poly part and the inner sleeve,  or the poly part and the outer sleeve?

Thanks in advance

P/N 3845244U : call for price.

In an old 2004 catalog I have, it was priced at $35.00
Good luck!

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that the poly bushing pivots around the inner bolt sleeve. I never really paid much attention to that.

I know the on the lowers, the pivot is outer.  There is a sleeve that presses in (easy to do) along with the bushing, then the shaft goes thru the bushing w/o another shaft.

You can use an air chisel to remove the old sleeve for the rubber bushing.  How did the shaft get torn up?  There should have been bolts thru either end.  Did the rubber completely go away?

Was this on the drivers side?  If so, do you have a PS Fluid leak?
