up and down idle

Drove my 82 Crossfire today with no problems. Then all of a sudden when I came to a stop the idle went down to 500 then back to 650. It did this a while. I parked it and when I started it again it was fine. This has happened only once before. Whats going on. Thanks for any suggestions

If the throttle bodies have some form of Idle Air Control, then it probably needs cleaning as anything downstream of the throttle blades is subjected to carbon buildup due to intake reversion. First step then is to find the IAC and see if cleaning it helps.
