I'm considering installing a set of Flowtech ceramic coated headers on my 77 vette. I've put headers on a car in the past & it was a real pain.
My question is, how difficult is the install in a vette? The last car I did (74 Cutlass) had to be lifted 2' off the ground for me to get the headers to the feed up from underneath.

I put headers on my black 79 years ago and it was pretty easy. Had the car just up on jack stands. No crossmember to deal with like you'd find on Chevelles, Novas or Camaros. Pulled the plugs, starter, smog stuff, A/C brackets and of course the manifolds. Mine slipped right in from below. They make spark plug changing a 15 minute job!.

I have have the Flowtech ceramic coated headers on mine also. I don't know if your car is a 4 spd or auto. If it is a 4 spd., the hardest thing about the job is that you'll have to remove the z-bar for the clutch linkage to get 'em in place. Other than that, it's not that bad of a job to do.
Also...I do recommend not even bothering with the supplied gaskets they give you and spend the extra $ on copper gaskets.

I also have the Flowmaster Ceramic headers. Watch my article in the June Corvette Enthusist Magazine and you can see photos of the install. I did it on drive on ramps. The work is bending the pipes and connection them to the header collectors.
