Parts cost will be roughly $750.00. Not too bad when you consider the sucker IS 35 years old. Also, have you checked out what a "new" muncie costs? Besides, this is the numbers matching trans. Joel will fix it up right.
To give you an idea on shipping costs, if I remember correctly, the total weight was 93 pounds. That was the trans, box and packing contents. It was roughly $100.00 to ship from Huntsville, Al to Texas - but that shipping cost included around $30.00 for insurance ($2,000).
I won't quote labor costs, but it is absolutely fair and reasonable.

A driveshaft shop can order one, tho...at a substancial mark-up. I would suggest go ahead and get one from one of the Vette supply places.
