 perhaps i'm the next client for Joel.... only pitty i'm afraid it will cost a fortune to ship that trans to the US....

see what it weights....  and ask .....

Parts cost will be roughly $750.00. Not too bad when you consider the sucker IS 35 years old. Also, have you checked out what a "new" muncie costs?  Besides, this is the numbers matching trans. Joel will fix it up right.

To give you an idea on shipping costs, if I remember correctly, the total weight was 93 pounds. That was the trans, box and packing contents. It was roughly $100.00 to ship from Huntsville, Al to Texas - but that shipping cost included around $30.00 for insurance ($2,000).

I won't quote labor costs, but it is absolutely fair and reasonable.

Hi Muncie lovers...looking for the yoke assembly for a M21...having problems locating one in the Delaware area. Any ideas?  Thanks, Mike

Maybe...maybe not. The yoke for the Corvette Muncie/BW(up to around 77) is similar to a "bolt on yoke" for a 400. There is one big difference....the big hole in the back where the bolt goes! The Vette does not have this. You can use the bolt on yoke on a Vette, but you have to plug that big ol' hole.(And cut about 1 inch off of it.) Iffin yer lucky, you can find a freeze plug that fits, and then you can weld it in. Might work...might not. More often than not, they leak. I gots a good selection of bolt ons here...

A driveshaft shop can order one, tho...at a substancial mark-up. I would suggest go ahead and get one from one of the Vette supply places.

Thanks for the suggestions...visiting a vette grave yard next week...gonna look there. Will let you kmow what I find...for future reference.
