Getting ready to tackle the tranny transfer in my 78 from a 4 speed to a 5 speed. Checked the bell housing (the one i will be using is from the comaro it sets the tranny at an angle for positioning of the shifter, checked the distance from engine block to shifter (less than one inch difference. tranny mount will get new mounting holes (1/2 inch further back ). Hydrolic clutch system will fit. Will get new clutch- pressure plate and throwout- will measure drive shaft after tranny goes in. AND NOW THE QUESTION as in all vet projects you never get it just right the first time so "what am I missing?' |headscratch|

Don't forget about speedo gears, speedo cable, rev light switch, and make sure the e-brake cable clears everything. That is, assuming you want any of that stuff to work! |thumb| |wavey|
