Vette(s): 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Just bought it from my uncle who owned it since 1971. Fathom green, green interior. 350/300, T400.

I'm getting ready to install my trailing arms, I'd like to use the slotted shims to make it easier for the alignment shop to adjust, but I don't have a hole for a cotter pin in my '69. Can I use these shims or will they fall out?

Thanks,

Matt

Unless there is some way to keep the shims in place they will eventually work their way out.

Just drill a little hole for the long cotter pin. It will make your alignment a lot cheaper. I had a customer get charged $600 for an alignment b/c they had to keep pulling the t-arm bolt out just to add some shims.
