Vette(s): 73 coupe bought new in 1973 with only luggage rack, AM/FM radio, HD battery & Maplight as options. L48, 4 speed, Paint Med Met Blue 922 interior Dark saddle 418 special order. Repurchased 4/1/06 after 24 years.
I didn't swap the steering, it happened sometime after I sold it!  I liked the manual steering just fine and it was tight and precise for the 8 years and 85k miles I drove it.  I am swapping it back to see if that takes out the play.  If the play is still there, than it is either in the steering box, tie rods/ FE bushings, or rear end.

That 19 year old girl is now my wife of 32 years.
