OK, I know that this is a topic of great debate and brand loyalty, but I'm asking for input. It's time for a new set of tires for my '82. I really hate to replace tires with almost new tread on them, but they are going on 15 years old. (I really should drive this car more.) The last time I put tires on, I just replaced them with the same 255/60/15 Goodyear Eagles. So, what luck have you all had with tires on the vette? Thanks

I agree...BFG Radial T/A's. There are a lot of good tires out there. I just think dollar for dollar they're awful hard to beat.Gunslinger 38432.6780092593

Yep, I'm goin with the flow. Had TA's on for five years at least, and drive twisty mountain roads here in NW Nevada and E slope of the Sierra Mts in Ca& Nv. The road to Virginia City just begs for "get er done" to the extent that two car clubs, one with those ugly Italian cars hold hill climbs there. So these TA's have seen some quick trips up the hill.

I did a lot of research, and look at many cars over many years. I agree the BFGs are a great tire, there is no way you can go wrong. But due to the research I bought the Firestone Indy 500s. I haven't driven it much as of yet, but so far I like them quite well.

I've had nothing but TA's on my car since I bought it in 1986. Best bang for the buck...............
