You definitely want to ask the dealer the date of manufacturing on the tires.

Not a problem, if you check the ABC News Link I posted above you won't need to rely on the tire dealer, you will be able to read the secret tire date code for yourself Wink

My last three tire purchases have been from Tire Rack.  I checked my "Born on Dates" and found the last set was 2 months old when I bought them.

I love my 500's on the Vette. Both daily drivers have BF Goodrich long trails and they have been mileage kings.

Ordered a set of BFG's from discount tire and specified the manafacture date on the tires that I would accept.  They put that date on the order and sent ones made after the date I requested plus gave a $90 rebate for the set.  Tires arrived in two days.  How can you beat that?

I just put the Indy 500 Firehawk tires on my PC, got a good deal and tires date stamp was less the 6 months old.  Boy do they look good!  Thanks for the tip on the tires and the link for checking the dates!
Almost ready to hit the road!!!!
