Stumbled across this link the other day and thought I would share it. It's a nice, short explanation of timing with a descriptive picture. It helped me visualize whats going on with advance.

Not bad! Fairly basic stuff, but important, and easy for all to understand. Good to know for emissions reasons, and performance too!
