I am looking to find something to use on the floor for inside car shows do you think this will work alright or??? also any ideas on ropes or poles or?? to go around the vette as a boarder so people can't lean on the vette or get too close? I have seen different ideas...but pretty costly.

Looks great Paul. Sorry to hear about the carb going back to the mfg. I had to send my BG back too because the float chambers would not seal. Like the new wheelsWink

John - the flooring snaps together and apart easily enough. as a matter of fact, they show it at car shows on the web site.

Glen, BG must have some quality issues - but, they are real friendly and quick with service. The tech called me today and said I would be driving by Saturday!! Fingers crossed!!! Thumbs%20Up

Update - Got the carb back from Barry Grant yesterday. Bolted it on and made all the connections. Filled the float bowls (gotta love an electric fuel pump!!) pumped the pedal 3 times and zoom, zoom, zoom!!!! Clap

She purrs like a pi$$ed off kitten!! Set the timing and off we went!! Not a hitch!! The guys a BG were great! Turns out the base plate was mis-manufactured. They put a brand new one on  and calibrated the carb for me. It literally ran like a champ out of the box!! Clap

Made a video but waiting for youtube to finish uploading it all day Wacko

Here's some update pics in the interim (video to follow shortly):

Paul, looks nice, must sound awesum. You guna dyno it?
So I see the outside pictures and grin......how are the neighbors when you tune on it....LOLLOLLOL
I'm out in the country a bit and when I summerize my boat 350/350 hp even one of my far away neighbors bust's my chomps. But he's a car guy and loves the open exhaust sound.
I like the floor also, but at the end of the winter season here I have a bunch or road sand. Think it will clean up?
I'm sure I'll get to hear your ride next time the NE group gets together.
Have fun!  Evil%20Smile

All right PaulClap, you must feel like a little kid again. I'm glad things worked out for you.
I removed the drivers side header gasket, it was in 3 separate pieces, I guess the guy that put them in figured it would be easier that way. They were completly shot, all that was left was the perforated metal and that was burnt to a crisp. I installed a new copper gasket and changed the bolts to the 3/8 hex, much easier to install. I still have to do the other side as soon as my body recovers. What a b***h getting the old stuff out.
Glad your up and running.
