Vette(s): 1970 T-Top350/350hp numbers matching 4 speed. It's a mess and 1970 Convertible 4 speed.
Is it possible to take out the engine with tyranny on it?

I put my engine & tranny in together, I imagine that they can come out the same way.
 
Rad & shroud have to be out to do so.

Absolutely. I took mine out together and put them in together. The only real trcik is that you need to have to take off on tire and approach from the side.

You can do it that way, but why?
This may just be the mek-an-neck in me, but it has always been easier(and safer) for me to do them separately. I always pull engines by themselves. IF I am doing the engine AND trans, I'll pull the trans first. But, as I say...that's just me....I'm weird...

Much easier to manuever in 2 pieces and less of a chance in damaging the car Smile

I just finished installing my engine and trans together and it was not too
bad . I didn't remove the radiator support and had the exh manifolds &
fuel pump on engine. I had a real hard time lining up the trans to the
pilot bushing while the engine was on the hoist and can't imagine how
difficult it would have been ,had I tried to line this up ,with the trans in the
car.Wink
