I consider myself a competant backyard mechanic. How difficult is it to install the Steeroids rack and pinion on my 75?

I fall into the same category and I did it in about 4 hours. Very nice kit and very straight forward. Thumbs Up

It took me alot longer than 4 hours to do mine but it aint rocket science.  By far the best thing Ive done for my vette since I brought her home.

Well I'm fortunate enough to have a rack to work with but, any confusion seemed to clear itself up with a little thought. I took my time over a weekend but I was upgrading the front suspension at the same time. very do-able job and certainly worthwhile. You might lose a couple of feet in the turning radius, but don't let that stop you, it's one of the best upgrades you can do to a C3. Don't forget to check with Corvette Specialties (our sponser) for their special C3VR membership discount (SWEET!).

Any problem with this kit working with Hooker side pipes?

The 1st time I saw one of these up close was in Carson city at the '07 gathering. The member was driving a '68/ 427 with headers and side pipes and he loved it. I guess there is always a chance headers might come close to something. I suppose that's why hear of dimples.
