My car was driving like a go dart after 4 quick hours. Be sure to use loctite on the set screws and lock nits on the universal shaft coming off the column.

Also shoot some penetrating fluid on the steering shaft where the rag joint is pressed on to the splines - it'll come off easier....

Have fun boys!! Wink

I guess it is poetic justice, but mine just arrived, apparently the last of all of us.  It would be nice to hear from the rest of you about how the installation went, and how you like it.  They told me that depending on the brand of headers, you might need to dimple the bottom for clearance.

How did everyone else do, I have mine installed man what a differance. I need to get it in the shop to get it aligned. The only problem I have is I do not like the way my hoses from the rack unit to my power steering route. I would be interested for a picture of some elses routing I will try to post mine. no problems with headers (mine were Hooker).

One other point is the installation of the spacer at the tie rod end where it connects to the spindle controls bumpsteer. How are yours set up?

4 HOURS??phewYou must have had a lift, air tools, air conditioned shop. The bolt in was not to bad, had some problems with powder coating and instructions could use some updating, newer better pictures. Getting the old system out was the hardest thing.Besides the fact it was 103 in the garage up on stands, laying on my back all day and nasty crap from old system,I had a good time. BUT IT WAS WORTH IT !!!! what a difference in the steering it made. Thought I was driving the C6 (almost). One good point brought out, you really have to clean up the steering shaft to get the new parts on, it was a show stopper for ahwile.
