I misplaced an article regarding the dissasembly of a C3 steering column. I thought the atricle was written by an engineer who origianlly worked for GM. I have a friend needing the site name for his problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi I'm hoping someone can please help me. I took the steering column apart down to the loose screws that were making my seeering column wobble. I tightened them up and started to re-assemble. I could not get the brights switch to work properly. There was a rod that goes down into the column that get pushed by a peice of plastic and the turn signal lever. Well it no longer works at all for me. Then I put some things in and got stuck at the locplate. I bought the tool, but the column keeps telescoping and I can't get enough pressure on it to put the clip back in. Help ....I can't drive my vette!! I can't even tow it to a shop.... |cussing|

Also, does anyone know if the assembly manual has detailed pictures of this, I would like to get one if it does.

It looks great, you wouldn't happen to have the lower half would you? It would be exaclty what i need. I got in a little deep. |idea|

Thanks again, it seems to be the section between these two pictures, the internal part that the lock cylinder, and brights switch goes into. I am pulling my hair out. I just can't figure out how the brights switch goes in. If anyone has a detailed picture of this, could you send it. I would be extremely greatful. |confusing|

It looks like the high beam switch isn't there. Real strange. I overnighted the assembly manual. Thank you for all of your help. I wonder if something happened to the high beam switch and it isn't returning the rod to the top position.
