Mail order house said the knock off style spinners won't work on a CE wheel.

I have swept on my wire wheels and I bought a set of straight and put on my camper. On both of them I put a small amout of Loctite red on the threads for a couple of reasons:
It works as a good thread saver and it gives just enough resistance to limit some kid from tryin to rip them off.
I had to do this with valve stem caps cause appartently there are several people who can't afford to buy their own cross flag caps!

My wheels should have been here by now, but they're not. I'll be calling Summit to find out what's the delay. The wheels I got are called Cruzer Alloy by Wheels Vintiques, the spinners are the straight style. The wheels are held on by lug nuts, and the base for the spinners are held in place by the same lugs. Then the spinners are spun onto the base. If you want to see what they look like go to Summit Racing and do a search for "Alloy Wheels" then select "Wheels Vintique". You'll see the wheels and the spinners.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

Actually the old Chryslers had the left hand threads on the left side of the car, and the right hand threads on the right side of the car.

Clockwise or counterclockwise depends on if you are talking about taking them off, or putting them on.  The left wheels on the Chrysler had to be turned counterclockwise to put them on.

I know it's just terms, but sometimes terminology makes a difference.

They're finally on !  I must admit I think the rims and spinners look great  But like anything else I do with this car nothing comes easy. Wheels went on fine and spun tested on car before mounting tires, so far so good. Forced balanced all four tires, while mounting the tires we discovered the rear trailing arms, bushings etc needed replacing   we then put the spinners on, no problems with them, wiped the rims, coated the tires with tire shine, went for a ride. Clunk, clunk, clunk    . The rivets on the front brake were rubbing      . Guess what my next expense will be
