Who uses which plugs at what heat range on C3 small blocks that are slightly modified (headers, mild aftermarket cam, etc.) I am curious because my AC Delcor 44Rs show up mighty blackened!. Thanks

Dry black, or wet black? Dry might be too hot of a plug, wet leads me to think it's running a wee bit rich. IIRC, I run 43TS in my '74 w/stock 350/4spd. I would have to actually look to see, but my memory seems to think mine are 43TS plugs. The R44T is the factory recommended plug.

Interesting, I would have thought you'd go to a hotter plug to help burn that black soot.
