Since it is still raining here I decided to keep the car in the garge and check the sparkplugs out. These plugs have about 10,000miles on them since I rebuilt the motor and put on the Performer heads. Anyway, They are for the most part light tan with dark deposits around the thread area and about half way up the part that goes up to the electrode. Since I was going to change them should I stay with the same heat range? The car runs great but maybe a little rich.Redwingvette38948.440474537

They sound normal to me, Brian. As long as there are no wet deposits, or completely black, they sound like 10,000 mile plugs. Can you post a pic of a couple of them?
If the engine is runnin a wee bit rich, I would do something with the carb before changing the heat range on the plugs.

Thanks I will try to get some pics up when I get a chance to look at all of them. I just pulled out 4 for the inspection, easiest ones to get to. Once I pul them all I will have a better chance to get pics.
