Well I hope to get the motor dropped in sometime in the next week. I am putting in a 383 stroker bored .040 with 9.5 - 1 compression. I have a set of world sportsman II heads and a hydraulic .490 lift cam. I will be running a set of Headman headers and a edelbrock performer  intake with a 750 Holley/vacuum secondary's. It will have a 2800 stall converter and a bowtie 2004r trans with 355 gears. I am wondering what plugs you would run. I have always been a Champion guy. Would you run 1 or 2 ranges colder plug? Has anyone tried those Acel plugs that are supposed to be shorter for header clearance? How many of you are die hard AC plug users? I plan on driving this car on highways as well as in town. Its not a trailer queen!

Rod, I think this is another bug for Adam to check. I noticed on a recent post that I started, the starter in the thread dropped the signature.

As for plugs, I am currently running Bosch Platinums and I likum!! Thumbs Up

Good morning to you.Regarding your spark plug choice may I suggest you use the Accel P/N 576 especially with headers..I have many 383's I have built and have had great success with these plugs in my Vette and others. The 576 plugs are shorter for use with headers and are equal to AC44TS and AC 45TS,both of which are street plugs..If you plan to be on the track racing or on the freeways constantly then you can go to a colder plug like AC43 or 42,but prepare for loading up unless you are full bore with you hair on fire....Go with the Accel 576 header plug set gap at .045 for OEM HEI distributor and if you have the points style distributor with Pertronix electronic system set plugs at .042..God luck and motoring..
