Hi all! Just bought my first Vette, a 1970 convertible. Real excited to take delivery next week. Being shipped from Atlanta, and I expect that being a 32 yr old car, there will be problems. Can anyone recommend a good "corvette" shop in in SE Florida (Delray, Boca area - but will drive for the right guy)? New to this forum, so if this is not the right place for this type of question, I apologize. Feel free to email your recommendations at smullins@minddesign1.com.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hey smullins!! and welcome to the C3VR!!
Congrats on the new addition to the family.
I have a GREAT mechanic for the Vettes but something tell me that coming to NC would be just a tad bit too far!!
Good luck with your search!

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.
smullins,
Welcome to c3vr. With all of the info you can get on this board, you don't need a mechanic. Just grab some wrenches, and go to work.
there is a real good website out there with all kinds of corvette info too.
www.corvettefaq.com
But it is more fun to get on this site, for answers to your problems.

Vette(s): White 1975 L48 Stingray 129,000 Miles, daily driver.
Smullins....Best of luck to you, I have no idea about the mechanic, and I hope all the non-info won't bug you, but I just got a 75 as a daily driver. and WOW!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!! You'll love yours. Try posting the same question in the General Vette Discussion, should get it read fairly quickly.

Wow, a fellow Floridian. I'm in Tampa, but I used to live in SoFla (WPB) 4 years ago. Check out the local vette clubs down there. Apparently there are quite a few. I'm sure they'll be able to point you to a good vette mechanic.

They should be able to help. I know of two corvette shops here in Tampa, but you don't need to drive this far to find a good one.

hi guy,
try jeff agust auto restorations in west palm beach. phone 561 682 9321.
he did my motor, headlights, brakes, total undercarriage.
his prices are less than normal, he loves cars. his shop does it all but painting.
i will not let anyone else touch my car. call him and take a drive up.
you can mention my name ( black vette) or not. his chief mech is about 350# and can fit into the smallest places.
if you want the best, honest, non cheating wrench in the area, try jeff.

I dealt with Cindy. She was great, and they seem to be an honest bunch. Buying a car like that is a little unsettling, but I had a mechanic check it out. Fingers crossed.
Have you dealt with them before? Good? Bad?

That's why I had to ask....I bought my '72 from Cindy. I had been dealing with Greg on another car, but while he was on vacation and Cindy sold the car to someone else. When I "fussed" a bit (joking with her) she took it to heart....they located me another and had it moved to Atlanta for me. As it turned out, the car I bought was a much better deal. They were a great bunch to work with....I would recomend them to anyone.
