If your steel spring is flat ,it's shot, which ever way you go get that old one out b-4 it snaps, that will run into all kinds of problems,I like my fiberglass spring but then I dont run any slolam courses,or stuff like that.just regular street driving,as for your shocks pull them off check them out by hand ,if they run up and down alright and don't leak they should be o.k. till you can get some new ones |thumb| |hammer| |withstupid|

I replaced mine with Vette Brakes composite. Great ride and the height is adjustable to your preference with their standard bolts. Much better ride than the steel. They say Bilstein sport shocks are a perfect match for this spring. Maybe next year I will change out to them. For now, too many other things to spend money on. |laugh|

I replaced mine with a steel spring and AC Delco shocks. I don't slalom or road race, just street cruising and the ride is fine. Just remember to change all the hardware and bushings also.

i put a fiberglass spring on a 75 and the stock shocks could not control the bouncing after a bump----we then put on a set of KYBs sold by the company that sold us the spring-----it still bounced too much -----we then replaced them with a set of CARRERA racing shocks (double action)-----problem fixed---but very expensive----steel springs with leaves stacked on top of each other create friction when flexing up and down and slow down the rebound process---fiberglass monosprings will bounce a long time (no internal friction)----you need better shocks for a fiberglass spring then you do for a stock steel spring |thumb| marty

There's also different "grades" of fiberglass springs. I can't recall exactly what they are (something like 300, 330, 360?) but each one has a different flex rate. So perhaps depending on the shocks you have and the ride you want it may determine which grade mono-spring you go with.

|bouncy| <--- clearly he has the wrong setup!
