I had Delco (they were worn when I got them), I replaced with KYBs to match my metal rear spring (these were huge improvement - smooth ride). Then I changed from the metal rear spring to a composite rear spring and also changed to Bilstiens. Bilteins are great, nice solid feel to the car.

My car is stock, so I just stuck with the Delco's............guess I'm boring!
They do their job.

My Delco's were worn out and I replaced them with KYB's. I could not believe the difference! The ride smoothed out to the point where she who must be obeyed actually began to enjoy cruising! Considering bang for the buck, KYB's are awfully hard to beat.
There is no substitute for low end torque!

I got the Bilsteins and love them! Of course I haven't driven the other ones so I really can't compare.

Hey gang, New here , but if you really want the best bang for your buck KYB is the way to go . My 71 has Bilsteins because I got a great deal off of E BAY, but I was installihg them for years in my muscle cars when they first came out

So we figured out today that the 70 most likely still has the original shocks on it.
That means they need replaced bad.
Sounds like the KYB's are the way to go.

I bought KYBs, mostly for the price I paid - but honestly for the way I drive, I probably wouldn't know the difference between any of them.
It sounds similar to a dicussion on spark plugs. So get out the coin ....
