Has anybody around here used Sea Foam products? They're petroleum-based cleaners for the engine internals...you pour approximately half a can or so of the liquid into the intake manifold (through the power brake booster vacuum hose) and then pour the rest into the oil pan. Their 'Deep Creep' spray is used to clean throttle bodies.

I've read a little here and there about them, but now I want the wise advice of forum members, if any of you have experience with this stuff. A search here turned up nothing on them.

Thanks.SFVette2006-10-09 21:40:58

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
No, not snake oil.   It is not a treatment, but a cleaner.  And it does clean. It does a decent job, but when burned outside of the engine it leaves a residue I'm not happy with.  This may not occour inside the cylinder.

Instead, use Justice Brothers.   Based on my own test, JB cleanes better, and does not leave the residue.

The problem is JB is a bit harder to find.  You can order it from Summit Racing.   It's in their show room.   That's where I get mine.    Okay I can get it closer to home but it's only 5 1/2 miles to Summit, and I would rather go there.
