Hey, Tux, my boots were just as close to the headers as your are, and they were a "high temp" wire set. Still roached one boot so far (as I mentioned in the story). The solution you have is attractive, but I don't know if that's the one for me. I'd like to find a wire set that is heat insulated. Or else I'll invent it, then retire on the profits....

There are hard "plastic" type plug terminals available for this problem. I've used them on countless racing/street applications, and never had one melt. I'm trying to remember the actual name of them, tho... 
They are pretty small, and snap onto the plugs, with a compression fitting-type connection to the wire itself. I believe we used to get them from Moroso, but again...my memory is fading fast from those days...what little I ever remembered to start with...

Well gentlemen....I've been looking around for a wiring mfg. that has wires and boots so I can build my own. Try www.accel.com I believe they have ceramic coated wires that are guaranteed.....maybe ?? You may have to build them.
