Rooks dumb question of the week....

The KYBs came today, so I know what Im doing on my day off tomorrow...Thumbs Up.
 
Ok heres the question.
 
The new shocks came with a packing strap around them (top to bottom). Does this get cut off before or after install??????

Well now...it really depends on if you are able to remove the shipping straps after installing the shocks. The rears won't be a problem...the fronts may be a different story....kinda limited amount of room in the front to get to them to cut the straps off....

See I told you it was a dumb question.......still I didnt know the answer.

There's no dumb questions, Dan! What is dumb is NOT asking questions and then screwing something up! Most of the answers you get on here are as much EXPERIENCE as KNOWLEGE! No sense in making the same mistakes someone else has! We're all here to help! (most of the time!)

Dan, I guess that I'm dumb (eboEvil Smile made me that way) because I cut mine as soon as removing them from the box. I does get a little tricky installing them but it's wasn't such a problem. You have to compress them then be quick about running the bolt thru.

if you have arms as big as your legs it shouldn't be a problem if you cut em before.
