I'd have to double check but I think the stock rally wheels (for '69 and on) are a 4" offset.Norsky38840.5990856482

They are 4" backspace. Any more, and you run the risk of the rims rubbing on the calipers.
Most any spec book should have that info, but I wouldn't bet me life on it! I have the factory specs on my car, from Chevy, and that's what is listed.

Otay....just to be certain, I checked the spec sheet again, and it calls for a N 0.50 offset, which means there should be a 1/2" negative offset. That means, with an 8" rim, there would be a 3 1/2" backspace. That didn't sound right, so I went & measured one of my factory ralleys. It is 4", from the wheel center, to the outer edge of the rim, by the tire. If you measured to the curve of the rim, where the tire actually seats(the bead), it is 3 1/2". I guess it just depends on how you(vs. Chevy) measure, eh?Adams' Apple38840.7891898148
Thanks Jim, BTW where would you get that information from ?
A couple of years ago I did a fair amount of digging up stuff when I was looking at new wheels/tires for "The Toy".  Lots of helpful stuff from other members also and most of it is documented in this forum in the spring/summer of 2004 if you want to dredge back that far.

The wheels I bought are actually for a C4 so I ended up having 4" spacers custom made (an eBay find btw).  So far no issues with clearance and I've received a lot of complements on the setup.  Click on my signature pic for a look.  I've since replaced the C4 logo center caps with red outline bowtie caps which look much better IMO.

Good luck...!!!

(Thanks for the confirmation Joel!   )
