Hey I am going to replace my power steering lines on my 81 do have to bleed the lines and if so how? The 81 shop manual does not go into details.

Just make sure ya do them one at a time, and don't get them crossed up.
To "bleed" the system afterward, just start it up, preferably with the front in the air, and turn the wheel lock to lock slowly aboot 30 times, making sure the fluid stays full in da pump. You want to leave the cap on the pump while ya do this, or you'll have a big mess to clean up!
After that, whatever air may still be in there will work itself out while driving.
