Replacing Accelerator Cable

Vette(s): 1979, Targa Blue (72 Color), Pace Car rear spoiler, L88 hood, Dark blue factory interior, 525HP 406, HD 700R4, 370 gears,Steeroids, composite rear spring, TT IIs wrapped in T/A Radials.

   Trying to figure out how the cable mount to the firewall?Ermm
 
Got a LOKAR cable and want to do this over the weekend...

Paul,

The cable should be held in by a 7/16 bolt.
 
If yoy follow the cable from the arm of the accelerator pedal you'll find it.  Be sure to use a new seal or some sealant (I like butyl rubber) to make sure you keep the heat out.
 
As always, It's easier to get out than to put back in.
