I did not use it on the rear but I did think about it. I think it would work if you set up one side first to set it to track properly. Then set the other side for proper toe.

I can attest to the "getting too old for crawling on the ground". I think that is why my project is taking longer than anticipated. Motivation is not as strong as it used to be. 🥴

I saved the old shims and taped them together to use as a 'thickness' starting point when installing new Stainless Steel shims. Then a trip to a knowledgeable alignment technician can verify the settings.

Global West sells some awesome tubular, new trailing arms with two options, for front bushings or bearings. Currently I am 'planning' to use polyurethane replacement bushings when I begin re-assembly using my original self-refurbished Trailing Arms.
I am using new adjustable strut rods also, with poly bushings. I have read some opinions on polyurethane bushings being a bad choice... but I think I have the better quality newer ones.

I've never had an issue with setting, or maintaining, the correct camber with the stock strut rods. But when we fitted the composite rear spring back in 1999, I fitted poly bushes to the strut rods. At that time they were getting mixed reviews, but they were so much easier to fit that I went with them. I changed the trailing arms a couple of years ago and I was amazed to find that the poly bushes in the strut rods were still as good as new, after 75k miles.👍

That's good to hear on the polyurethane. I am going to keep an eye on my repairs... but if I have any problem, I will have an easier time changing things out. Hands-on DIY is a great learning tool! I have the service and build manuals, and I'm not afraid to ask questions, or do the research.

Hello, From experience, on poly bushings, I used the black Energy Suspension parts on mine. You MUST use the grease they send with them. Had someone do a set of trailing arms for me with No Grease, the result was a very bad wobble from a car show to home. They utterly disintegrated from the bumps and movements of T-arms.
