Is there a safe/easy way to remove the outer bearing races from the spindle support piece without using a hydraulic press? Suggestions are most welcome...

Well.... i've always used a punch and hammer... once the bearing assembly is out, and the spindle out.. there are two grooves inside the assembly(usually where all the grease fills up), just have to follow the grooves down to the face of the race with the punch and tap out...
