Vette(s): 1976 coupe with a custom body and a 396 big block with nitrous installed. Runs great!!
Wherever you get them try to get Spicer u-joints and Timken Wheel bearings. They are the best. Napa is a quality store (at least around here). Auto Zone aint to bad either.custom762007-10-02 03:38:28

i have changed several side shaft u-joint and on c-3 cars the 1 thing i have noticed is to be quite careful of not bending the outside yoke with the press what i do sound hard but works great i put the outside yoke back on the spindle for the wheel and then it has some mounting to stiffen the yoke for instalation works good for me i have been thinking about finding an old spindle and using it for a stand

No thats good! The flange that bolts to the wheel is pretty easy to bend. I had a ball joint press and I bent one like it was cool. I've always used C-clamps to press U-joints in the past so I went back to that method. That way it's a little harder to bend anything, unless your a big gorrilla like me.
