My right rear wheel is making a clicking/grinding noise.I think that it's my wheel bearings.I checked the drive shafts and they are not loose. Dose anyone have a break down drawing of the rear wheel bearings.Or do I have to replace the whole trailing arm or can I just change the wheel bearings.
Thanks Rick

you might want to make sure it is not the brakes (disk or the emergency ) making the noise. You get more info to follow but I beleive you need special tools to set up the bearings. you might want to get a rebuilt trailing arm then replace it. you need to start soaking the bolt where the trailing arm is attached to the frame, that can be a bear to get undone.

You can even check for bearing play just as you would the front wheel. Hold each side of the tire and wiggle. And grab from the bottom and top and do the same. maybe even lift a little from the bottom to feel for play. A small amount of play is acceptable.

If you need to remove trailing arm, best bet is a saws all. Quick and easy.
I hear the rear bearing set up is very tricky.

Acceptable end play in the rear bearing is 0.001 to 0.002", which is too small to feel by just wiggling. If you feel any in and out movement, it is time to rebuild before you start damaging pieces. Setting up the bearings involves a special tool that lets you measure the end play and try different shims until you get it exactly right.
There are a lot of companies offering "rebuilt" assemblies. Their definition of rebuilt varies, so make sure you get one with new bearings and seals, and rotors. We use a local service, and have never had one fail in 30 years. We send you a rebuilt assembly, and when we get yours back we send it in to check the cores.

Welcome to the world of swapping out trailing arms.
It is apparently a rite of passage for the C3. Best to do it in pairs and probably not try to do just the bearings yourself.

Plenty of good vendors out there who either rebuild yours or swap them. The way to go IMHO. Have fun regardless!
