Has anyone installed a Van Steel rear coilover system on thier vette? If so, how do you like it?

It's pretty (and prettyexpensive!!).

I have heard that it's a good mod for autocrossers but over the top for street driven needs. I have modified my car a lot but this is not in my plans.

I have the performance plus system with coilovers and adj. shocks.  Alas I can not tell you how it rides as my car is not on the ground yet.  I did buy this system for its adjustability and performance aspects.

Last year I thought I wanted to go with the rear coil over suspension. Started looking at the choices and the pricing. Then when I was at carlisle I spoke to a couple of people that actually had it. They were very happy with it and the adjustability worked great, however not one of them said they would spend that money again. They all said that it doesnt get used enough for the money spent. Thats when I decided not to go down that avenue. But it does really look cool!! Hope that helps.

I have the complete Van Steel rear suspension.  I went with the single adjustable shocks, offset trailing arms, and offset sway bar.  I had some assembly issues with the upper shock mount.

While doing a trial fit, I discovered that the battery box was too close to the shock and the coil spring would rub hard.

So when I had the supplied reinforcement u-shaped piece welded to the frame, I offset it to the outside and it all worked out well. (I can't seem to be able to post pictures).

If you want pictures, send me an email and I'll send you a bunch!
